FAQ

What are Liquidity Tokens?
Certain tokens are considered “liquidity tokens” by DBOE as they are either quoting or base tokens used on DBOE Spot platform. Currently, DBOE accepts USDT, USDC, LINK, WMATIC, WETH as “Liquidity Tokens”. DBOE reserves the right to change this without notice in the future.
What is Swapping Liquidity Tokens on DBOE?
When users swap their liquidity tokens, they will receive "d-tokens" in their wallet with a ratio of 1 for 1. Users can then unswap on this platform after the minimum holding period to get back their original liquidity tokens and some DBOE points depending on their holding period and the amount of their liquidity token being swapped. Generally, the longer users hold the “d-tokens”, the more DBOE points they will be rewarded upon unswapping.

Alternatively, users can trade out the d-tokens on DBOE Spot market anytime to get back their original liquidity tokens but forfeiting the DBOE points.
What are the benefits of Swapping Liquidity tokens at DBOE?
The benefits to DBOE is to deepen the liquidity depth the “Dedicated Market Making” (DMM) could provide and show to the market. However, benefits to the users are as follow:

  • Swapping at DBOE is safe because it works like any other safe swap operation on-chain that the swapping is done atomically and no custody of user assets is needed by the platform.

  • For liquidity tokens, swapping to get “d-token” on 1:1 basis does not incur any trading fee.

  • It’s one way to accumulate DBOE Points. The longer you hold on to the “d-token”, the more points you will accumulate.

  • Penalty-free: You can swap and unswap at any time without incurring any penalty fees.
  • How to Swap liquidity tokens at DBOE?
To swap your liquidity tokens, follow these simple steps:
  • Check the balance of the liquidity token you want to swap in your connected wallet (e.g Metamask). There is a minimum Swap amount for each Swap.

  • Enter the amount you want to swap (up to your balance).

  • Select the "Swap" button and pay the gas fee to swap your tokens, and view your successful Swap in the 'Swap History' section.

  • Note: You can swap the same token multiple times.
How is the token being allocated among Options DeMM, Spot DeMM?
Swapped liquidity tokens will be allocated to the Options (~10%) and Spot DMM (80%) and the remaining (10%) is left on the swap smart contract as reserves in this hot wallet.
For any unswap (withdrawal) requests which is not taken place on the Spot DEX, we might need to re-allocate back to the hot wallet, and we will be available 24/7 to help serve such requests.
What are "Min. Holding Period" and "Max. Holding Period"?
The "Min. Holding Period" and "Max. Holding Period" typically range from 7 days to 180 days. Here's what that means:
  • If you have held the “d-Token” but want to get back your original liquidity tokens before the minimum holding period, you will be able to trade out the dToken on our DBOE Spot market with a conversion rate of 100%.
  • If you forget to swap back after the maximum holding period, you won't receive any further points rewards.

  • Note: Please be aware that the minimum and maximum holding periods are subject to change without prior notification.
    What are “DBOE Points”?
DBOE Points are an exclusive rewards program by DBOE to reward users for their contribution and participation in DBOE activities. These points will later be exchanged for other exciting rewards.

You can check out the number of points rewards in the 'Point Earn Per Year' column.
What is the function of “Unswap”?
It is to withdraw your tokens locked in the Smart Contract in exchange for the “d-Tokens”
